The
Knowledge acquisition process is designed so as to provide an understanding
of the core management concepts in the first year. These are upgraded
to provide advanced knowledge in areas of specialization in the
final year. The emphasis is on applying the concepts to real life
situations.
The learning process is proactive, conventional, classroom teaching
being passé. The classroom atmosphere is synergetic with
interactive and participative sessions of discussion and debate.
Emphasis is laid on value building through integrated case studies,
group discussions, seminars, simulation exercise, projects workshops
etc. These are organized frequently to keep pace with evolving definition
and concepts in management.
This instills in the students a sense of camaraderie, responsibility
and integrity. It helps in building pillars of strong student faculty
relationships, which is the hallmark of quality education.
Teaching methodology in the department is not governed by the rulebook,
but by the emancipation of thought processes. It unbridles the reigns
of traditional thinking to spawn a more holistic line of thought
and in turn effect the globalization and liberalization of the ideas.
